Open house for Dee Howell

A big thanks
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department will host an open house for Dee Howell, the senior superintendent of horticulture services, who is retiring after 28 years with the city.
Howell is the gardener responsible for the colorful flower beds at Memorial Park Golf Course, Mecom Fountain, City Hall, Hermann Park and other city green spaces.
The event will be held 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at the department’s greenhouse, 6501 Memorial.
